Gordon Reid MSW, RCSW

With more than 20 years in mental health, most recently, I offered individual and group therapy in an outpatient mental health clinic.  I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to find skills, tools and strategies, which build on your own knowledge and life experience.

Change is moving forward, to become more effective.  Real change is hard, isn’t it? What if we slowly: think about thinking, spot unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaviour, and make different choices?  Learning how to learn/change more effectively includes: can we be more realistic? can we move forward slowly (said it twice).  And, what if we increase out comfort level with not quite getting it right? Does letting go of outcome encourage forward moves?

With a Masters in Social Work, my professional college, BCCSW, legally requires me to use Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) to acknowledge my mental health training above the RSW level.
