Jenny Whitehead - BA (Ed Psych)
Jenny Whitehead is a dedicated caregiver, counsellor, and advocate for neurodiverse families, bringing both professional training and lived experience to her work. As a mother of two children, Jenny’s journey into supporting neurodivergent individuals is deeply personal, grounded in the day-to-day realities of raising children with unique sensory, emotional, and developmental needs.
Originally trained as a counsellor in Guatemala, Jenny developed a strong foundation in relational, culturally responsive care. Her work has always been rooted in connection, attunement, and meeting individuals where they are. Over time, her clinical lens naturally evolved into a more practical, embodied approach—one that recognizes that support for neurodivergent individuals often extends beyond traditional therapy spaces.
Today, Jenny focuses on nourishing both children and families through food, connection, and skill-building. She offers hands-on cooking classes designed specifically for neurodiverse children, creating supportive, sensory-aware environments where children can explore food, build confidence, and develop independence. Her work also extends to supporting parents, helping them navigate mealtime challenges with compassion, creativity, and a deep understanding of neurodivergent needs.
Jenny’s approach is warm, flexible, and affirming. She recognizes that food is not just about nutrition,it is about regulation, identity, connection, and safety. Through her work, she creates spaces where families feel understood, children feel empowered, and everyday routines like cooking can become meaningful moments of growth and connection.
