Dr. Elli Reilander, ND, MSCP
Naturopathic Physician | Hormonal Health, ADHD, Autism & Menopause
Dr. Elli Reilander is a naturopathic physician based on Vancouver Island with 10 years of clinical experience. She joins InFocus with Neurodiversity Collective Inc. as an independent contracted practitioner, bringing expertise in hormonal health and a particular interest in supporting ADHD and autistic individuals through the physical, cognitive, and emotional changes that can accompany hormonal transitions.
Her practice focuses on hormonal health across the lifespan, including menstrual cycle-related conditions such as premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, perimenopause, and menopause. Dr. Reilander holds the Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) designation, reflecting specialized knowledge in midlife hormonal healthcare and a commitment to ongoing professional education.
Dr. Reilander has a particular interest in supporting ADHD and autistic individuals, recognizing that hormonal health and neurodivergence can intersect in meaningful and sometimes overlooked ways. Changes in reproductive hormones may influence attention, executive functioning, emotional regulation, sensory experiences, sleep, and energy levels. For some neurodivergent humans, these changes become particularly noticeable during perimenopause and menopause, when established coping strategies may become less effective and everyday demands may feel increasingly difficult. Understanding these experiences within the context of both hormonal health and neurodivergence can help inform more individualized and responsive healthcare.
Her approach is collaborative, evidence-informed, and centred on understanding the whole person. She recognizes that physical health, neurological differences, emotional well-being, and lived experiences are interconnected, and that effective healthcare requires attention to how these factors influence one another. Rather than focusing solely on individual symptoms, Dr. Reilander works with patients to explore contributing factors, identify their priorities, and develop care plans that reflect their circumstances, preferences, and goals.
Her clinical services include comprehensive health assessments, appropriate laboratory testing, nutrition and lifestyle counselling, and individualized prescription and non-prescription treatment options. She also works collaboratively with patients' existing healthcare teams, advocating for appropriate investigations, coordinated treatment, and access to the care they need.
Through her collaboration with InFocus, Dr. Reilander expands the range of healthcare options available to ADHD and autistic humans, particularly those navigating hormonal changes, menstrual health concerns, perimenopause, and menopause. Her work complements InFocus's existing assessment, counselling, and psychiatric consultation services by bringing additional attention to the relationship between hormonal health, neurodevelopmental differences, and overall well-being.
Dr. Reilander shares InFocus's commitment to respectful, individualized care that recognizes neurodivergence as part of human diversity. Her approach creates space for patients to better understand their bodies, make informed healthcare decisions, and access support that acknowledges the complexity of their experiences without reducing them to a diagnosis.
