Episodic Medical Care for ADHD & Autism
Access to timely, informed medical care can be a significant barrier for many individuals navigating ADHD, Autism, burnout, trauma, and co-occurring mental health concerns.
At InFocus Counselling, we offer an episodic medical care model designed to help bridge this gap. Dr. Victor Jordan provides telehealth-based, consultative medical support for individuals connected with our clinic or those seeking access to psychiatry services through InFocus.
This service is designed to support stabilization, clarify next steps, and improve access to appropriate medical and psychiatric care.
What This Service Offers
Dr. Jordan may support with:
Medication support and monitoring
Implementation of psychiatric recommendations
Medical guidance related to ADHD, Autism,and mental health
Referrals to psychiatry, including Dr. Dirk Kotze where appropriate
Care coordination with existing healthcare providers
This service is short-term and consultative. It does not replace ongoing primary care.
MSP Coverage & Access
Appointments with Dr. Jordan are covered under the Medical Services Plan (MSP) of British Columbia when a valid and active Personal Health Number is on file.
A referral from a family doctor is not required.
To book with Dr. Jordan, you must either:
Be an active client with InFocus, or
Be seeking access to psychiatry services, including referral to Dr. Dirk Kotze
Medication & Psychiatry Requirements
For medication-related care, a psychiatric consultation is required for formal diagnosis and medication recommendations, particularly regarding stimulant use.
Dr. Jordan can support the implementation and monitoring of psychiatric recommendations once they are provided.
If you require a psychiatric consultation, Dr. Jordan can support referral to Dr. Dirk Kotze where appropriate.
Important to Know
Dr. Jordan’s service is episodic, meaning it is intended for short-term medical support rather than ongoing family medicine care.
Dr. Jordan:
Does not replace your family doctor
Does not provide long-term or continuous primary care
Does not assume ongoing responsibility as your main medical provider
Provides short-term support to assist with stabilization, treatment planning, and next steps

Confirmation of appointment details
Although appointments are covered by MSP, a valid credit card is required to hold the appointment.
You may be financially responsible for the cost of the appointment if MSP coverage cannot be applied, including:
A missed or no-show appointment
An invalid, inactive, or missing PHN
Loss of MSP eligibility or absence of active insurance at the time of service
