Mental Health Monday: Friendship, Intimacy & Neurodivergent Relationships
Join InFocus for our next FREE Mental Health Monday as we explore friendship, intimacy, and relationships through a neurodivergent lens.
Relationships can bring connection, joy, safety, and belonging, but they can also feel complicated. For neurodivergent people, friendships and intimate relationships may involve navigating different communication styles, social expectations, sensory needs, boundaries, emotional intensity, rejection sensitivity, and the need for both connection and space.
In this supportive one-hour session, we’ll explore how ADHD and autism can shape the way we connect with others, including the strengths neurodivergent people can bring to relationships as well as some of the challenges that may arise. We’ll talk about communication, boundaries, intimacy, misunderstandings, self-advocacy, and practical ways to build relationships that feel more authentic and supportive.
